Joining as a graduate
Once you join, you'll be provided with exceptional career and opportunities that aim to unlock your full potential. You’ll be empowered to work on multiple projects, working with a wide range of clients and be fully supported to study towards your professional qualification, where applicable.
We have a highly supportive culture aimed to help you thrive and develop. Through a combination of formal and on-the-job training, you'll learn professional skills and project management, core skills (including Powerpoint/Excel/Word as well as selected data handling/visualisation tools) and soft skills. You'll also learn about financial modelling and analytical techniques. As you progress through the programme, you will take on more responsibilities and obtain experience across different teams, broadening your sector understanding and increasing your professional network.
A training path to support you
Start your professional qualification as soon as you join and study towards the ICAEW or ICAS qualification. Two highly regarded industry qualifications.
Along the way, you’ll shadow senior colleagues. And before you know it, you’ll be working on exciting client engagements – with lots of help of course.
We’ve developed an accessible blended approach of work and study that includes classroom lessons, online learning, and structured self-study. Studying and exams can be hard to balance alongside client commitments and social activities outside of work. But you’ll never be on your own. You’ll study with the rest of your cohort, building relationships and friendships that will last a lifetime. Plus, we’re here to support you at every step.
Removing barriers
We’re proud of our heritage on driving diversity and social mobility across the professional services industry, and in 2016, we removed the requirement to have minimum UCAS points or a degree classification to make an application to EY. We are passionate about giving candidates a fair and consistent recruitment process and are proud of our long-standing partnership with RARE who help us assess applications using contextual recruitment. And, whilst some academic qualifications will still be considered (check programme pages for more information), it’s no longer a barrier. We also firmly believe that every candidate should have the opportunity to demonstrate their potential in our selection process which is why we use our leading EY Strengths Framework that focuses on your individual strengths.
