    Client desired to improve shareholder value by simultaneously spinning-off non-core assets and reimagine its remaining business.

    ▇ The solution

    Client turned to EY to support with the tax-free spin-off of a critical and highly entangled business unit with real estate across multiple asset types and regions, while supporting the Global RE leader with the selection of Global HQ, design of an operating structure for SpinCo. EY identified, designed and executed value creation initiatives to reposition the remaining enterprise for success within a fast-paced timeline.

    ▇ The outcome

    The “SpinCo” now trades on the NYSE and is completing construction for its new HQ. EY continues to support the client on additional efforts to attain its ESG objectives through various methods such as solar power generation across the US. Client achieved an excess of $1M+ of additional value opportunities.

    A global organization spanning 4M SF and 1,500+ retail stores was implementing TRIRIGA lease administration and accounting to meet the FASB standard for their global lease portfolio. The in-flight distressed project had missed its functionality and delivery deadlines.
