Dights Falls area
Dights Falls was one of the most popular Kulin meeting places in the 1840s. Located near Yarra Bend, the site would attract Kulin clans from across Victoria to meet for ceremonies, law matters and trade. The falls are also recognised as the first known encounter in Melbourne between the Kulin people and Europerans, who rowed up the Yarra to the Falls to find Aboriginal people in early 1803.
