Former Associate Chief Accountant at the US Securities and Exchange Commission. Seasoned advisor on financial reporting and regulatory topics.

Steven is a partner in Ernst & Young LLP’s National Professional Practice based in Washington, DC, where he develops publications and training materials and advises EY people and clients on SEC reporting topics. Steven serves on the Center for Audit Quality’s SEC Regulations Committee and its International Practices Task Force, and he has been named as Chair of the 2022 AICPA Annual Conference on SEC and PCAOB Developments. Steven has also served Fortune 500 audit clients as an engagement quality review partner.

Prior to joining EY, Steven served as an Associate Chief Accountant in the SEC’s Division of Corporation Finance, where he advised the Division’s Chief Accountant on accounting and financial reporting matters.  

Steven earned a Bachelor of Science in Management from Tulane University. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the District of Columbia and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
