2023 EY US Transparency Report

At Ernst & Young LLP (EY US), we believe that how we advance audit quality, manage risk and maintain our independence as auditors should be transparent to our stakeholders.

We understand the enormous trust that is placed in us as independent auditors, and we embrace our responsibility to perform audits that promote confidence in financial reporting. To that end, we value regular dialogue, and the EY US Transparency Report is one of the ways in which we communicate with our stakeholders on what we are doing in each of these areas: our internal quality control system; how we instill professional values; how we perform our audit, review and consultation processes; our approach to audit quality reviews; and our independence practices.

The 2023 EY US Transparency Report complies with the European Union’s 8th Company Law Directive, which requires US statutory auditors of public interest entities (PIEs) to publish annual transparency reports. It covers EY US’ fiscal year ended 30 June 2023.

This report is intended to be read in conjunction with EY US’ annual audit quality report, that can be found here. EY US publishes an audit quality report voluntarily to provide more information about how we manage our US public company audit practice, support our people and take actions to enhance audit quality in the US.
