US/UK Cross Border Tax Services at EY
Tax affects every aspect of our lives and laws are always changing. We help our clients in the UK and US with their personal and corporate tax returns, calculate liabilities and advise on tax payments.
You’ll work closely with colleagues across borders, using EY tools and networks to solve complex business and tax problems. By combining the power of EY’s tax experience with innovative technology, you can help us transform the tax function of the future.
What will you be doing?
- Specialising in either UK Tax or a dual handler (UK/US Tax) role depending on your preference
- In your specialist area, working with start-up companies, large corporations and high-profile individuals
- Receiving on-the-job learning, working closely with other tax assistants and tax managers
- Gaining practical experience in different areas of tax through complex client work
Professional qualifications
Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) and potentially the Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA). Additional Enrolled Agent for those in a dual handler (UK/US Tax) role.

How’s it structured?
Once you join us, we'll provide you with an extensive induction plan during your first six weeks, continuous training, team building exercises, a careers counsellor and a network of mentors who will help you to reach your potential. You'll also have the opportunity to study for professional qualifications and work with local and international clients on their complex US/UK tax needs.
You'll also specialise in either UK Tax or a dual handler (UK/US Tax) role depending on your preference.
Year 1: Complete tax compliance work, prepare UK or UK/US tax returns and develop your experience and knowledge through on-the-job structured training in a supportive team.
Year 2: Continue to develop commercial awareness and technical knowledge, work with budgets and liaise with clients and government departments.
Year 3: Have a deep understanding of UK or UK/US Tax to prepare tax returns, identify issues, create innovative tax planning solutions and coach new joiners.
