Tim has led EY’s research and development tax incentives and government grants team since he returned to New Zealand in mid-2018. With a history of working with start-ups, high growth companies, and large corporates to access alternate funding, Tim brings this expertise to EY and helps deliver service solutions in a balanced and commercially relevant manner.
He is also a founding member of the New Zealand Government’s Reseach and Deveopment Advisory Group.
Before returning to New Zealand, Tim was a Partner in the EY Government Incentives team in Sydney, Australia. Prior to EY, Tim worked as an analytical chemist within a deep-tech spin-out company from a New Zealand University.
Tim has a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Otago, New Zealand.
