As the Head of Data Science and an AI professional at the EY Space Tech Lab, Dr. Jack White plays a crucial role in driving the team's vision, strategy, and technical solution design. Jack facilitates discussions between business, product, and technical stakeholder teams, working closely with accounts across sectors to develop innovative data science solutions for clients.
Previously, Jack worked as a data scientist and machine learning engineer, and has held distinguished academic positions, including as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Swinburne University of Technology. These roles allowed Jack to establish great depth in his expertise of AI, and its use in solving complex industry and academic problems.
As Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Jack specialised in AI and Computer Science. As part of this role, he investigated the practical applications of Deep Learning and developed machine learning pipelines for various applications, including for Earth observation imagery and biomedical technology.
