Enterprise Risk student opportunities
In Enterprise Risk, you’ll work across the Internal Audit and Risk Transformation teams while building your career.
What is Enterprise Risk?
Our Internal Audit team works collaboratively with audit committees, leadership teams and management to support them in reviewing key financial, operational, strategy and compliance processes, to target key risk areas across an organisation. We help identify and assess areas of significant business risk, develop remediation actions and mitigate controls to reduce the risk faced by the organisation, and support effective ongoing management of risks. We also help clients to identify key control weaknesses and assist them in developing agile control frameworks which align to better practice and are achievable for each organisation.
Our Risk Transformation team works closely with boards, leadership teams, and large-scale projects and transformations on a variety of risk-related deliverables, such as aligning risk to corporate strategy, designing and implementing risk frameworks, periodically assessing risks for longer-term projects, and aligning risk processes to global better-practice standards.
Your career journey in Enterprise Risk
As a graduate, you’ll be part of our 12-month graduate development programme that has been developed for graduates in all service lines, and is focused on connection, learning and celebration.
The programme will provide you with the opportunity to network with your peers from other service lines and geographies. Running in parallel to your technical learning, you will develop leadership skills to become a successful graduate, and as you grow as a transformative leader.
As an Enterprise Risk graduate, you’ll take part in:-
- Breakfast and Learn – a monthly session providing key insights on how best to approach specific projects, use EY’s range of tools in practice and enhance client deliverables
- Core Consulting / Graduate Camp – a week-long program involving a variety of key consulting focussed tasks that provides the opportunity to work with other graduates across the other consulting service lines
- Foundations of internal audit training
As an intern, after our company induction, you’ll start developing an understanding of how our Enterprise Risk teams work and will be ready to work alongside teams on real client projects. You’ll meet other new interns from your office.
Your buddy and your counsellor will help you learn your way around the organisation, set your goals and plan your development while you’re here. You'll be well looked after with ongoing learning throughout the Internship Programme with sessions facilitated by our Learning and Development team, Campus Recruitment team and service line specific training. The Internship Programme is a great way to gain valuable audit experience, skills and networks to start building your career.
