Lara is the leader of Climate Change and Sustainability practice for the Financial Services sector in EY Oceania. She has a wealth of experience including leading the ESG reporting and assurance practice nationally for a large professional services firm in Canada and over 20 years of experience at the second-largest Canadian securities regulator, including 10 years as the Chief Accountant. In the latter role, she’s focused on non-GAAP financial metrics and ESG-related disclosures and their impact on the capital markets.
She has accounting (Fellow of the Chartered Professional Accountants – FCPA, FCA), finance (Chartered Financial Analyst - CFA) and governance (Institute of Corporate Governors – ICD.d) designations. In addition, Lara spent two terms as a member of the Canadian Accounting Standards Board.
She brings her knowledge and experience from each of these areas, to provide a unique skillset to assist EY clients as they move along their ESG journeys.
