What is Forensics & Integrity services?

The Forensic & Integrity Services team helps organisations to develop strategies to pre-empt, manage and resolve the risks of business conflict, and assists in investigating alleged misconduct, fraud and non-compliance with regulations.
Successful organisations depend on their reputation for keeping promises, respecting laws and behaving ethically to maintain stakeholder trust. Forensic & Integrity Services professionals help organisations protect and restore enterprise and financial reputation. We assist companies and their legal counsel to investigate facts, resolve disputes and manage regulatory challenges.
 
 

What could you be doing?

  • Use analytical techniques and leading technology to de-construct fraud, financial crime, misconduct, corruption, or other malfeasance
  • Review financial data and other documents, including emails, in the context of investigations and disputes
  • Meet with clients to understand their processes around identifying and mitigating fraud-related risks and promoting integrity
  • Review policies and procedures and perform and risk assessments
  • Perform forensic due diligence and provide fraud-focused audit support
  • Contribute to expert witness reports, including the review, analysis and verification of evidence
  • Re-construct historical facts through analysis of evidence and data, interviews, and other investigative methods
  • Liaise with litigation teams and other legal professionals

Your career journey in Forensics & Integrity services

As a graduate, you’ll be part of our 12-month graduate development program that has been developed for graduates in all service lines, and is focused on connection, learning and celebration.

The program will provide you with the opportunity to network with your peers from other service lines and geographies. Running in parallel to your technical learning, you will develop leadership skills to become a successful graduate, and as you grow as a transformative leader.

As an Forensics & Integrity services graduate, you’ll take part in:-

  • Attend and participate in multi-day Oceania Forensics Staff to Manager event
  • Participate in virtual sessions on relevant and emerging topics, delivered by Forensics leaders from across the globe
  • Develop new/complimentary skills through the EY Badges program or an external industry certification program

As a vacationer, after our company induction, you’ll start developing an understanding of how our Forensics & Integrity services teams work and will be ready to work alongside teams on real client projects. You’ll meet other new vacationers from your office.

Your buddy and your counsellor will help you learn your way around the organisation, set your goals and plan your development while you’re here. You'll be well looked after with ongoing learning throughout the Vacationer Program with sessions facilitated by our Learning and Development team, Campus Recruitment team and service line specific training. The Vacationer Program is a great way to gain valuable audit experience, skills and networks to start building your career.

By far the most enjoyable thing for me about working for EY is the culture of teamwork and inclusivity. Despite having only joined about six months ago now, my team have really gone out of their way to make me feel welcome.
