In Climate Change and Sustainability Services, you’ll help clients in defining, executing and measuring performance against their environmental, social and governance (“ESG”) strategies.
What is Climate Change and Sustainability Services?
The Climate Change and Sustainability Services team is the largest sustainability consulting team in Oceania. Our multidisciplinary teams help companies understand the risks and opportunities arising from climate change and sustainability issues, advising a large proportion of the ASX 200 to help them drive performance beyond their bottom line. The team also supports EY clients in defining and delivering their community investment programs and help protect the health and wellbeing of their employees.
Our team works across the full spectrum of sustainability, health and safety and climate change issues, including environmental, social and governance (“ESG”) strategy, outcomes measurement, health and safety, environmental management, climate risk and decarbonisation, human rights and modern slavery through advisory and assurance engagements.
As part of the team, you’ll support our clients in defining, executing and measuring performance against their ESG strategies. Our work is central to supporting our communities and clients create a healthier, safer and more sustainable future.
Within Climate Change and Sustainability, you could work in one of our three competencies
- Climate Change & Sustainability Services
- Environment, Health & Safety Services
The Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) team’s work is central to supporting our communities and clients to create a healthier, safer, and more sustainable future and achieving EY’s purpose of building a better working world. This passionate team, a sub-service line of EY’s Climate Change and Sustainability Services, assists clients to transform their strategy and approach to managing their impacts on the environment and the health, safety and wellbeing of people. Our combined market experience, industry leading solutions, and applied EHS knowledge enables us to help businesses strategically diagnose EHS challenges and implement the right solutions to enhance EHS outcomes. We use a multidisciplinary approach spanning engineering, psychology, health and safety, environmental science, and business principles to better align the various and often competing needs of businesses to concurrently drive their EHS and operational performance. We help businesses enhance their culture by shifting thinking from seeing EHS as an added effort in doing business (needing to comply with regulations) to seeing EHS as a catalyst and driver of better business performance (working together as a high performing unit).
We engage with all organisational levels, from boards and executive leadership to front line leaders and their people. Our work includes EHS and wellbeing strategies, EHS culture and maturity assessment, leaders training and coaching, mental health and wellbeing, environmental closure cost estimates, EHS due diligence, EHS assessments, and EHS management systems.
- Community Impact
The Community Impact (CI) team is a behaviour change and community programs team that creates real and tangible social impact. We help organisations invest in the community in ways that help drive meaningful behaviour change, while also aligning to business strategy and need. Our team help designs, develops and delivers behaviour change programs that intend to create positive social change, across topics as broad as natural disaster recovery, financial capability, cyber safety and disability inclusion and awareness. This includes running some of the largest youth-focused in-school programs in the region, where we have facilitators from our team in schools every day working with young people to help them build a better future. Our diverse team has knowledge in behaviour change, psychology, behavioural economics, community development, pedagogy and instructional design, which we use to develop impactful programs that inspire change; we also have experience in operations, service delivery and facilitation which we use to deliver programs in the community to consistently high quality at scale. Together, we are united by our passion and our purpose of inspiring clients and communities towards healthier, safer and more sustainable futures.
