Raylene is a professionally registered scientific practitioner with the South African Council of Natural Sciences. We welcome her 20 years’ experience as a technical expert in strategy formulation, sustainable infrastructure design, with a focus on process optimisation and the application of climate change adaptation initiatives.
She has multi-sectoral ESG experience having advised on deals across the alternative asset classes in over 34 countries worldwide.
Raylene focuses on ensuring consistency of approach to delivery of solutions to customers. This involves the ongoing assessment of best practice implementation, and the provision of training and mentorship to staff. This often makes use of strategy sessions at executive levels to facilitate alignment of approach to ESG management and an understanding of the value add ESG brings to a business.
Raylene was employed at EBS Advisory as COO, where she provided oversight and guidance to staff across three operating entities, in South Africa, Kenya and Nigeria. She was also actively involved in business development activities, across east and west Africa, facilitating the growth of the units outside of South Africa to profitable entities with double digit growth realised over the last two years.
Raylene has also been employed as Sustainability Manager at Royal HaskoningDHV a multinational engineering firm, and was involved in the compilation of management systems in line with ISO 9001 and 14001 standards, as well as the production of content for the group sustainability and integrated report compiled annually and which was assured each year in The Netherlands.
At RHDHV, she also headed up a project development division, which focused on the implementation of sustainable design across the energy and industrial sectors, with Raylene working closely with the engineering teams to implement improvement initiatives driving the development of resilient infrastructure and value addition for clients.

By listening to the client, understanding their customers and communities allows me to better position them for success. This requires acquiring an in depth understanding of a clients’ value drivers to develop strategies which enhance both financial and non-financial performance for the business and its key stakeholders.
