In his role as Regional Managing Partner Ajen has led the integration of EY across Africa, making it the most integrated professional services firm on the continent. This approach enables a borderless structure for serving our clients, and also provides growth and development opportunities for our staff.
In addition, Ajen is a member of the EMEIA (Europe, Middle East, India and Africa) Board, the Global Emerging Markets Committee and the Global Accounts Committee.
Ajen previously successfully headed up the EY Africa Assurance business. His career with EY started in 1993.

Africa Top Employer for the past 10 years, APSA Big 4 Firm of the Year; 2018 and 2019 and multiple awards for gender mainstreaming. In his personal capacity, Ajen was awarded SAPSA Professional of the Year in 2019. Outside of EY, Ajen is the Chairman of the Thuthuka Education Upliftment Fund, a board that drives racial and gender transformation in the accounting profession in South Africa. He is also a non-executive board member of Ikusasa Financial Aid Programme, a non-profit organisation that provides higher education funding for the disadvantaged.
