Jalpa Sonchhatra is a Partner in Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS), EY India. She has over 18 years of experience in audit and financial reporting advisory under the Ind AS, Indian GAAP, IFRS and US GAAP.
She specializes in statutory financial reporting, management reporting, financial processes, consolidation systems, financial closing system and related internal financial controls. She also actively supports clients’ digital transformation agenda for their finance functions across these domains.
During her career, Jalpa has managed large complex mergers and acquisitions (M&A), group restructuring and inbound-outbound acquisitions along with post-transaction integration. She has also served several global and Indian clients across different sectors, namely, consumer products, retail, life sciences, oil and gas, power and industrial products.
Jalpa holds a BCom degree from Saurashtra University. She is also a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Management Accountant, the UK.
