Gaurav Karnik is the national leader for EY’s Real Estate sector in the India region and is a partner with the Tax practice.
Gaurav has a proven track record in tax, regulatory matters and international taxation. He has advised several real estate developers as well as real estate-focused private equity funds based in the US, UK, Canada and Singapore in structuring their India-centric real estate funds and specific investments in Indian companies.
Gaurav is actively involved with the central government on policy matters related to the sector and also serves on real estate committees of various industry associations.
Gaurav has earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Delhi University and is a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
