As the Leader of EY Canada’s Private Equity and Pension practice, Tim advises private equity, pension and corporate investor groups on merger and acquisition issues, including buy and sell side services in various sectors.
Almost thirty years ago, Tim’s journey at EY began, originally in the assurance practice and then in transactions diligence, where he was a founding member of the group 20 years ago. Along the way, Tim assisted a client in the acquisition of an international packaging company and then became its CFO. That company grew organically and through acquisition, after which Tim returned to EY.
Tim’s passionate about serving his clients, mentoring his team, lending a hand at Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Toronto, and partnering with his wife, Lee Anne, to emphasize fun and learning in sports and education to their children. Tim earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University. He’s also CA and CPA certified.
How Tim is building a better working world
“As business leaders, we share the responsibility of making the world better for our clients, teams and community. We’re committed to client service through simplicity, focus and speed to drive value creation. Having relentless focus on client service combined with our focus on teaming and mentorship, creates more opportunities for our people.
“I’m proud to lead our private equity and pension practice as well as key client accounts. I’ve been active in EY’s LBGTQ mentorship program, and, often with clients, have played an active role at various charitable organizations, including the United Way and Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Toronto. Building a better working world becomes possible once we acknowledge we’re all connected and understand the positive impact we can achieve together.”
