As Chief Operating Officer (COO), Sonya is at the helm of driving EY Canada’s financial strategy and long-term operational growth across service lines, functions and geographies. She is a member of the Canadian Leadership team and serves as an Advisor to the Executive Committee.
Previously, as Canada’s National Audit Leader, Sonya was focused on driving transformative change and continuously evolving to better meet the needs of our clients, investors and regulators.
Sonya has extensive experience leading audit and other professional services for a wide variety of both publicly listed companies and private clients headquartered in Canada with global operations. She is committed to enhancing quality to inspire confidence and trust in the capital markets.
Sonya is Chartered Professional Accountant and graduated from Dalhousie University with a bachelor’s degree in commerce. In 2020, she was awarded the FCPA designation.
