François Tellier has served as Managing Partner of EY’s Montréal office and Québec and Eastern Canada since fall 2023. With over 30 years' experience at EY, he has held a variety of positions, mainly in the Strategy and Transactions group, which he helped build into the benchmark for transaction consulting in Québec.
Over the years, he has always emphasized the importance of building strong, trusted relationships with clients to better advise them and support their growth. In fact, growth has been a recurring theme throughout his career — the growth of clients, the growth of EY people and the growth of EY itself.
As a strategic financial advisor to companies, shareholders and boards of directors, he has developed an in-depth knowledge of business in Québec by working alongside entrepreneurs from a wide range of sectors. He has always strived to be an agent of change, with growth and value creation as his ultimate goal. He has advised companies at various stages of their existence, from startups to industry giants, adapting each time to their situation, always attentive to their needs.
At EY, François has held numerous management positions. Among other things, he was National Director of the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® program, which celebrates the success, courage and ingenuity of entrepreneurs across Canada.
In addition, as Canadian Leader of EY’s Growth Markets practice, he was responsible for providing the mid-market with services and resources tailored to high-growth companies in the private and public sectors. Prior to that, François was Managing Partner of the Strategy and Transactions group, as well as a member of EY's Canadian and Americas Partner Councils.
In his new role, François aims to continue building EY into a leading professional services firm focused on technology, data and innovation. He is committed to creating growth opportunities for EY and its people.
