This is our chance to get to know you beyond what’s written in your résumé.

    • Don’t be afraid to show your true self.
    • Try not to script your video — natural and casual is the way to go.

Your résumé is your highlight reel. We want to see all you’ve accomplished and are proud of.

    • Use action words to describe tasks and achievements.
    • Include previous internships or work, volunteer work, extracurriculars, hobbies, interests and more.

Cover letters allow you to elaborate on what’s written in your résumé and showcase examples of why you think you’d be an excellent fit for the role.

    • Tell us why you want to work at EY.
    • Triple-check your grammar and spelling.
    • Dive deeper into experiences listed on your résumé — or share new ones.

Interview tips

So you’ve been invited to interview with EY. This is your chance to learn about us — our culture, teams and the role itself. You’ll get to showcase your skills and strengths and see how EY fits with your personal and professional goals.

It’s also how we’ll get to know you. Here are some tips for a successful interview:

  • 1. Be prepared

Preparing will not only enable you to engage in better conversations and ask meaningful questions, it will help alleviate any pre-interview nerves.

    • Do your research.
    • Understand EY and the career path you’re applying for.
    • Identify skills required for the role.

  • 2. Practice, practice, practice

The only way to prepare for the real interview is to practice. Find a family member or a friend and have them conduct a mock interview with you.

    • Come up with a library of past experiences you can pull from.
    • Research common questions.
    • Practice case interviews (if applicable).
    • Practice your answers out loud.

  • 3. Don’t be afraid to talk about YOU

We want to hear why you think you would be suited for the role. What makes you unique? What can you bring to EY?

    • You know you best.
    • We want to learn about your experiences — no, you’re not bragging.

  • 4. First impressions matter

It’s important to present yourself the way you wish to be perceived.

    • Think about your personal brand.
    • Dress professionally.
    • Maintain appropriate body language.

  • 5. Interviewing is a two-way street

Just as we want to know you, we want you to get to know us.

    • Always come prepared with a few questions.
    • Be thoughtful about your questions. Ask about what’s important to you.
