The episode highlights the following:

  • In order to encourage uptake of low emissions cars, dispelling the untruths around the technology will be key. These include ‘range anxiety’ (the fear that a vehicle doesn’t have the required fuel to reach its destinations) and reliability of charging points.
  • The efficiency of hydrogen fuelled cell electric vehicles (FCEVs) versus battery powered electric vehicles.
  • The potential of the transition to zero emission vehicles to lead to the ‘golden age’ of British manufacturing.
