Shipping and flying currently accounts for about 3% of the world’s C02 emissions. Simply stopping the use of aeroplanes and vessels is not an option, so Westminster has committed to putting the UK at the “forefront” of low carbon travel.
This sixth instalment of the 10 Point Pod explores the UK’s efforts in finding initiative solutions to global aviation and maritime emissions, and its potential to effectively become the home of green ships and planes.
