With over 25 years of consulting and industry experience, Rick continues to work, as he has throughout his career, with a broad range of organisations, including governments, to improve their security posture.
With Rick’s advisement, clients have been able to enhance reporting and operating models. This has helped clients gain an actionable and accurate picture of their cyber security posture and build a priority list of activities to further enhance cyber resilience.
Rick joined EY in 2022 from a large global consulting organisation where he delivered key cybersecurity transformation projects for clients. Prior to this, he worked in leadership roles for leading cybersecurity organisations.
How Rick is building a better working world
“Throughout my career, I have proactively mentored undergraduates, graduates and career changers. I firmly believe in the sentiment ‘if you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life.’ By helping individuals find their passion at every stage of their career, I have been able to build inclusive, high-performing teams which are enhanced by different perspectives.
Mentorship lies at the heart of how I build and nurture teams. By helping others find what they love, team dynamics are enhanced, clients are happier, and society as a whole benefits too.
In a previous role, I worked as executive sponsor for Women in Cyber, a group designed to improve visibility and enhance career opportunities for women in cybersecurity.”
