Sophie Cornish MBE
Sophie Cornish is a director, shareholder and advisor of fast-growth businesses. She was the Co-founder of online marketplace notonthehighstreet.com, one of the UK’s leading digital brands which now supports 5,000 of the UK’s most creative small businesses and connects them with millions of customers. In 2013, she was awarded an MBE for services to small businesses and entrepreneurs.
Sophie began her career as a beauty writer and editor on women’s magazines, followed by creative and marketing positions in the cosmetics and advertising industries, as well as roles in early dotcom start-ups. She has co-authored two business books, ‘Build A Business From Your Kitchen Table’, and ‘Shape Up Your Business’.
She has recently returned to a high-street retail role as the Director and Managing Partner of Busby & Fox, a fashion and lifestyle retail mini-chain.
In her role as UK chair at the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ 2021 UK judging panel, Sophie is looking for leaders who demonstrate a strong sense of purpose and vision, and a sense of sheer love and joy for what they do.
