Darina Garland

Darina Garland is the Co-founder and Co-CEO of the global outdoor pizza oven brand Ooni. Originally launched through a crowdfunding campaign, she created a brand-new category of outdoor pizza ovens with her partner Kristian Tapaninaho. As co-founders, Darina and Kristian were EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ 2020 UK One To Watch winners.

As Chief Experience Officer, Darina oversees the entire Ooni experience and is integral in leading the development of a world-class brand and culture at the business. She is driven by an unparalleled ability to connect with people in a meaningful, human way. 

Darina grew up in Portobello in Edinburgh and describes herself as being passionate about developing people, community, with appetite for growing world-class teams and authentic partnerships. She is known for her positivity, and champions culture and experiences for the team and their network. As an EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ 2021 UK regional judge, Darina will be looking for finalists who have taken the opportunity to consider their purpose, impact, ways of working and overarching goals during the challenging year we’ve had during the pandemic.
