Claire Alvarez

Claire joined Foresight Group in 2016 and is a Director based in the Manchester office, where she originates and manages small to medium enterprise (SME) investments across the North West of England and North Wales. 

Prior to joining Foresight, Claire worked at Deloitte, where she spent six years advising banks and company directors, with a focus on returning value from distressed SMEs. Claire has worked extensively in the North West, initially for KPMG and subsequently at Altium Capital. During this time, Claire also completed an MBA for Financial Professionals (with Distinction) through Manchester Business School. Claire also holds a first-class degree in Management from Lancaster University.

An active proponent of diversity and inclusion, Claire is involved with Fund Her North and the 6% Club, groups that promote diversity and the removal of barriers for women in finance and entrepreneurship in the North West.

In her role as a judge in the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ 2021 UK awards, Claire will be looking for someone with unbound ambition, who will not only strive to deliver growth and innovation but make a positive contribution to the UK.
