Supply chain sustainability

EY’s Environmental Social Governance Services (ESGS) team drives inclusive and sustainable procurement at EY, helping connect our organisation to leading services and suppliers with a focus on inclusion, innovation and minimising environmental impacts throughout our supply chain.

EY’s carbon ambition includes a goal for suppliers covering 75% of EY’s global spend to have set an Science based targets initiative (SBTi) approved carbon reduction target by FY25. We will collaborate with all suppliers to help them on their journeys to SBTi accreditation and the decarbonisation of the products and services we procure from them. By working with suppliers and encouraging them to work with us, we will further multiply the impact of EY’s carbon negative position.

Just as EY’s Global Code of Conduct sets out the standards of ethical behaviour expected of every EY person, our Global Supplier Code of Conduct does the same for EY suppliers. Environmental requirements of the Code are aligned to Principles 7, 8 and 9 of the UN Global Compact.

EY requires suppliers to verify their standards and adherence at the RFI or RFP stage, reaffirming this at the time of contract execution. We continue to monitor compliance to these standards throughout the duration of the contract.

The UK firm has been listed as a CDP Supplier Engagement Leader – classified as in the top 7% of companies globally who are working with their supply chains on climate change.
