What EY can do for you
EY Economic Analysis Team (EY EAT) can support the Client in many different economic analyses, providing micro- and macroeconomic expertise as well as advanced analytical modelling skills. We can provide innovative solutions to our Clients. Apart from the services described on other pages, among our areas of interest are, for example:
Spatial analyses
Spatial analyses concern all types of analyses where the spatial distribution of economic phenomena must be taken into account. These may include i.a. gravity modelling (e.g. for optimisation of the Client’s branch network coverage), spatial regression analysis (i.e. modelling economic relationships between spatially correlated variables), spatial interpolation (i.e. estimating the spatial distribution of economic variables’ values in geographic space). Spatial analyses make use of a wide range of data spanning from data concerning large administrative units and zip-codes to individual address points. The spatial approach might be particularly useful for customer behavioural patterns analyses (see customer segmentation).
Commercial due diligence
EY EAT, in cooperation with other EY teams, has a successful track record of working with Private Equity funds on buy- and sell-side commercial due diligence. In particular, EY EAT focuses on delivering overall macroeconomic insights and the market analysis (including identification of key determinants of the market’s development as well as the market forecasting).
Economic costs of diseases
Indirect costs in healthcare are costs for the economy stemming from a disease due to sick leaves (absenteeism), lower productivity of sick workers (presenteeism), disability, etc. EY EAT has developed a framework of indirect costs measurement in the health technology assessment process. We have vast experience in measuring economic (indirect) costs of diseases as well as economic benefits of various health technologies.
