Detmar is our Global Innovation Leader in Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS), combining the business needs of finance organizations with deep subject matter knowledge on accounting, mathematical and technology topics. A driving force on numerous digital innovation topics, Detmar frequently presents to the global finance sector.
After joining EY in 1994 to work with the Professional Practice Group, Detmar spent time as a leader for the Financial Services Organization Advisory team. He serves as an executive on a number of audit and advisory-type engagements ranging from mid-market to large multi-nationals. Detmar is also the Global FAAS Systems, Processes, and Analytics Solution Cluster Coordinator and the Global FAAS IT/Infrastructure Coordinator.
Detmar earned a degree in Business Mathematics and a doctorate in Knowledge Management from the University of Ulm. He is a German Certified Public Auditor (Wirtschaftsprüfer), and a German Tax Advisor (Steuerberater).
