Chee Wai Ong is the Assurance Managing Partner of Ernst & Young PLT.
He has a wealth of experience in assurance and business consulting services, that is combined with extensive knowledge of a broad range of industries, including oil and gas, real estate, airline, hospitality and construction. His clients include some of Malaysia’s largest conglomerates, government-linked corporations and multi-national companies.
Chee Wai’s experience covers the areas of financial reporting and assurance, initial public offerings, reverse takeovers, financial due diligence, cross-border transactions, transitional management of internal audit functions, Financial Reporting Standards conversion exercises as well as process reviews.
Chee Wai holds a Bachelor of Accounting (Hons) degree from University of Malaya. He is a Council Member of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) and the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), and serves on various Committees in those bodies.
