With a passion for data science and over 15 years of experience in telecommunications, Sharala Axryd is dedicated to data-driven business transformation and data science education in the ASEAN region.
She is Group CEO and founder of The Center of Applied Data Science (CADS), ASEAN’s first and only onestop platform and incubation center for data science. Her vision for CADS is to set the benchmark for data science education in Asia and to empower the next generation of data science professionals.
Sharala was part of the team that brought in the Data Incubator, an American-based data science center, to Malaysia. In 2016, she helped launch ASEAN’s first data science accelerator program and spearheaded an initiative with the Harvard Business School to support Malaysia’s national agenda to be the hub for big data analytics (BDA).
As the Founder and Managing Director of ULearn, Sharala and her team was successful with the Hands On Technology Training (HOTT), eventually evolving to be the first in the industry to develop an Automated Competency Gap Analysis - UrSkillsReporter. She has also previously conducted GPRS performance analysis and optimization training for a diverse range of clients.
