Jo Pennycuick

Redesign Group NZ is a multi-disciplinary design practice offering a range of services including spatial design, retail, food and beverage, commercial office planning, airport and mall interior design, graphic design and branding, franchise set-up and management, project management and construction.  

Jo Pennycuick founded Redesign Group NZ in 1998 after having worked for three years in two design practices, and following the birth of her first child. She steadily developed the business into a company highly-recognized throughout New Zealand, and then ventured offshore for the first time into China in 2006. She then ventured into other growth markets including the Middle East and India.  

Jo attributes her company’s strong progress to her decisions to enter new markets and to setting up local teams to provide design services to the local markets.  

Redesign Group is now located in four areas – Christchurch, New Zealand, Gurgaon, India, Bahrain, Middle East and Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. Jo anticipates increasing the number of staff from 16 due to the business growth the company continues to experience. Redesign Group’s work can be seen in Europe, the Middle East, the USA, South East Asia, China and India.
