Dato’ Hazimah Zainuddin

Dato’ Hazimah Zainuddin is the Founder and Group Managing Director of Hyrax Oil Sdn Bhd. Under her leadership, Hyrax Oil began producing a broad range of lubricants and now exports its petroleum products to over 35 countries worldwide.
Dato’ Hazimah sits on the Board of Directors of MATRADE, a Malaysian government agency tasked with the promotion of Malaysian exports to the rest of the world. She also sits on the Board of The Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB). MPOB is a government agency responsible for the promotion and development of the palm oil industry in Malaysia. It is one of the agencies under Malaysia’s Ministry of Primary Industries. She also served as the Chairperson of Perbadanan Usahawan Nasional Bhd (PUNB) from 2018 to July 2020. She has recently been appointed to the Board of Trustees of the National Welfare Foundation, Malaysia, from August 2022 to August 2024.
Dato’ Hazimah is actively involved in various industry associations, namely the Association of Bumiputera Women in Business and Professions, Malaysia (Peniagawati), Association of Vendors of Tenaga Nasional (PUTM) and the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM).
Dato’ Hazimah was the inaugural EY Woman Entrepreneur Of The Year 2002 Malaysia and won the SME Woman Entrepreneur Award 2003 conferred by the Small Medium Industry Association of Malaysia (SMI) and subsequently the Commonwealth Women Entrepreneur Award in 2018. She has spoken in various conferences such as the Global Summit of Women in Greece (2012) and the EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year 2013 in Monte Carlo.
