In December 2020, the Japanese Government issued its tax reform proposals for 2021. If confirmed in the Diet in Spring 2021, these measures would generally take effect as of April 1, 2021. The proposals cover the entire taxation spectrum.
We at EY Tokyo would like to provide our Japan inbound clients an overview of these measures so they can assess the relevance for their businesses and their employees. We will also provide other recent updates on the Japanese tax environment. For this, we are pleased to invite you to our EY 2021 Japan tax reform webcast.
We plan to cover the following:
- Corporate tax updates (credits, various incentives, tax consolidation, tax reorganization)
- Rules impacting Funds and Private equity (Investment structuring and rules around debt/equity)
- Changes to inheritance tax and individual income tax
- Indirect taxes (consumption and custom duties)
- Transfer pricing and tax controversy
The webcast will be held in English. We aim to leave time for a Q&A discussion at the end of the seminar.
We look forward to your attendance at this webcast.
