Since joining EY Japan, Shingo Igayama has been in charge of accounting audit and public offering support for corporations, with a focus on manufacturing companies. After working on financial due diligence and valuations at a boutique firm, he joined Strategy and Transactions in 2008. He provides various advisory services focused on cross-border deals, and buy-side and sell-side due diligence for business companies and private equity funds.
Major projects have included financial due diligence for Japanese corporations for business integration with a listed electronics manufacturer, a large Japanese supermarket chain's investments, as well as for an US corporation's integration with a Japanese semi-conductor equipment manufacturing company. In addition, he has provided strategic advice to establish price mechanisms when selling a company, and supported the preparation and oversaw the creation of pro-forma carve out financial statement for a company seeking to divest.
