Naoto Ichihara is an Assurance Partner at EY Japan. Since 2016, he has been leader of the Assurance Innovation Lab which conducts R & D on behalf of the assurance practice, developing models, algorithms and software to identify accounting fraud and risks.
He has over 10 years of experience as a quantitative analyst in the financial services office of the assurance practice, focusing on derivative valuation and risk management.
In 2018, he won EY’s Better Begins With You Award in the Pursuing Innovation category, leading his team to develop software which detects accounting fraud with machine learning based anomaly detection techniques. Click HERE to read more.
He holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Keio University, Tokyo and a Master of Economics from the University of Tokyo.
