A chartered tax advisor with over 17 years of experience in Irish and international Indirect tax, Deirdre leads the indirect Tax practice (excluding financial services) at Ernst & Young Business Advisors, Ireland.

Experienced in helping companies manage their Irish and global Indirect Tax obligations, she spent almost seven years in the US working with multinational companies. She was instrumental in helping them set up and help manage their indirect tax functions, encompassing people, processes and technology, and in meeting their planning and compliance requirements across the globe.

Additionally, she has in-depth experience in advising multinational companies on international value-added tax as well as goods and services tax.

Having worked with a wide variety of clients at EY, Deirdre has gained deep technical proficiency in the technology and communications, life sciences, manufacturing, retail and distribution, as well as aerospace sectors.

A commerce graduate of University College Cork, she is an Affiliate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.
