Torben Bender

Torben Bender is partner and chairman of the board of directors for EY Denmark.

Torben has extensive experience as auditor and consultant for a large number of Denmark’s biggest companies, and he is often employed as a trusted business adviser in relation to M&As, restructuring and stock exchange listings.

Torben has many years of experience from managerial positions in EY in Denmark, the Nordics and internationally – for example, as presiding partner for EMEIA Advisory Council (EAC) and as a member of the Global Governance Council.

Torben has been a member of the board of directors of the Danish Board Leadership Society since 2012, and he is also EY’s cooperating partner with CBS Executive/Copenhagen Business School regarding training and education programs for members of boards of directors.

Torben is a state authorised public accountant and holds a MSc in Business Administration and Auditing from Copenhagen Business School (CBS). From 2018-2020, Torben was CEO for EY Denmark. Since 2020, Torben is chairman of the board of directors.
