Our Consulting services are represented in Copenhagen and Aarhus, and we work extensively across offices and with colleagues in the other Nordic countries. You will take part in a strong academic environment, focused on knowledge sharing both locally and across national borders.

Our Consulting services are divided into four areas: Business, People, Risk and Technology.

Within most areas, we have dedicated teams that specialize in advising clients within the financial sector; these teams are part of our Financial Services Organization (FSO). Within all teams in Consulting and FSO, you get the opportunity to accelerate your skills within management consulting.

In the following, you will find a brief description of all areas and the specialized teams within each area.

  • Business Consulting

    Business Transformation

    In Business Transformation, we lead various projects, focusing on strategy, implementation, and orchestrating major cross-sector transformations. We work across industries, including pharmaceuticals, automotive, infrastructure, consumer goods, and have a team specialized in the financial sector.

    We're transformation experts within a broader EY network, skilled in strategic analysis, innovation, and design thinking. We enable clients to convert strategy into action, ensuring effective execution and change management to foster sustainable growth and profitability. You'll gain skills in problem-solving, client interaction, presenting, facilitating, and project management.

    Finance

    In Finance, we help clients reimaging and transform their finance function to create more value by thinking end-to-end, agile and forward-looking to enable improvement in efficiency, scalability, decision-making and enterprise value. Central to our work is a strong focus on processes, people and systems in finance, and we are working closely with CFOs and their finance functions in large and international companies.

    Supply Chain & Operations

    In Supply Chain & Operations, we build, develop, and transform supply chains to be capable of handling the increasing volatility in today’s business environments.

    We analyze and evaluate current operations and identify potential across Strategy, Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Distribution to optimize processes by implementing Digital Enablers and Technologies. We facilitate and realize transformational journeys for our clients both locally and globally to enable End-to-End management of their supply chain and operations. We help our clients improve their sales; become more cost-competitive, reduce risk, enhance operational resilience, and reduce their footprint to become more sustainable.

  • People Consulting

    In People Consulting, we deliver long-term value to our clients, people, and EY by putting humans at the center of the transformation agenda, transforming businesses through the power of people and helping our clients reimagine their future workforce.

    Our People Consulting competencies house our world-class capabilities in Organization & Workforce Transformation, HR Transformation and People Experience, to support clients across the Transformation agenda.

  • Risk Consulting

    Actuarial

    The Actuarial team helps clients in Pension and Insurance on actuarial and risk management matters. Our main areas are:

    • Financials including actuarial audits, due diligence in mergers and accounting standards
    • Outsourced functions where we serve our clients on an annual basis
    • Various consulting projects with focus on actuarial, risks and solvency matters

    The team consists of 13 people, the majority with a master’s degree in actuarial science, but we also have mathematical engineers. We prioritize learning and networking along with our daily tasks.

    Enterprise Risk

    In Enterprise Risk, our focus is on helping businesses and their leaders enhance their resilience and become more risk-aware, enabling them to make informed, confident decisions. We assist in identifying and addressing critical risk areas and leveraging advanced technology to integrate risk management into overall business strategy. Our services include conducting internal audits, crafting comprehensive audit plans, guiding risk transformation initiatives, managing third-party risks and translating into business language and actions the requirements of new sustainability regulations.

    Additionally, we support clients in navigating new and emerging risks, such as sustainability, AI and other considerations, ensuring they remain agile in a dynamic global environment.

    Financial Crime

    Our FinCrime team helps our clients fight financial crime within money laundering, sanctions, and fraud. Utilizing data-driven insights and innovative technological solutions, we're actively shaping a future of enhanced financial integrity and creating lasting social impact. Our daily work involves analyzing complex challenges and designing and implementing effective risk management and compliance solutions.

    A career in the FinCrime team is built on continuous learning, where each project offers a distinct chance to make a tangible impact on the financial landscape, ensuring ethical standards and compliance in a dynamic professional environment. 

    Quantitative Advisory Services

    In Quantitative Advisory Services (QAS) we focus on the quantification, reporting and steering of financial risk.

    We have a cross-Nordic focus and strive to support our clients with best-in-class quantitative risk management advisory. To deliver this, our approximately 20 risk professionals combine strong quantitative, regulatory, and consultancy skill sets to navigate the complex landscape of financial risk, ultimately enabling our clients to make the right strategic decisions.

  • Technology Consulting

    AI & Data

    In AI & Data, we assist clients across all industries in transforming their firms into data-driven organizations where trusted intelligence is embedded in daily operations. Our approach to achieve this is to infuse data and analytics in the delivery of every project, solution, and asset. We are data driven individuals who cover several competencies such as: 

    • Data Science (AI, GenAI, Machine Learning & Modelling, Statistics, NLP, …)

    Cyber Security

    In Cyber Security, we are committed to excellence, actively combating daily digital threats. Recognizing technology as the core of business growth, we emphasize the importance of cyber security in today's interconnected, automated world.

    We help clients tackle complex tech, organizational, and regulatory challenges. We address significant enterprise risks, prioritize cybersecurity across professions to defend against evolving threats. Our approach integrates with many EY's competencies, offering specialization in areas like GRC, IAM, Cloud, OT and more. Partnering with top tech providers, we solve complex problems and impact how security is performed.

    Platforms

    Our Platforms delivery team provides end-to-end technology-enabled business transformations that meet our clients’ unique needs and challenges by utilizing our local and global capacities, extensive business knowledge and our technology alliance partnerships with SAP, IBM, and Microsoft business platforms.

    We translate strategic needs into tangible deliverables. We do this from reviewing the current state, performing technology and business assessments to developing the overall business needs and impact to doing the ERP/Sales/Service or ESG platform configuration and customizations to ensure a productive and value creating usage of your technology investments. 

    Technology Transformation

    In Technology Transformation, we partner with CIOs and CTOs to tackle key growth challenges through technology. We help our clients navigate the complex and ever-evolving digital landscape and ensure that they unlock the full potential of technology to drive innovation, build resilience, and transform at scale to meet their digital transformation objectives.

    With EY's expertise, diverse skills, and robust tech alliances, we craft tailored digital strategies with lasting impact. Our team's broad competencies make us a comprehensive transformation ally, where you'll work with experts in IT, strategy, data, and delivery to empower client journeys.

Life as a Graduate

Pre-onboarding activities

From the moment you sign your contract, it can usually take months before you have your first day at EY. The waiting time can be long, and we would like to ensure that we are continuously in contact until your first working day. Therefore, as a graduate, you will find that we host numerous pre-onboarding activities, where you can meet your new future colleagues and become familiar with the business procedures at EY. It’s very important to us that you feel like a part of EY even before you start.

Our pre-onboarding activities have previously consisted of bowling, wine-tastings, bingo, Friday bars, dinners and quizzes.

Nordic Induction Program

Your first meeting with EY as a new graduate is the Nordic Induction Program in August; a program that will give you an introduction to how everyday working life can be in the future and will give you the opportunity to get to know your new colleagues better. We spend a lot of time tailoring the program so that it will be an exciting experience for our new colleagues.

On the first day on the job after the introductory week, all our graduates are assigned to client projects. This allows you to quickly start building experience in how we work together with our clients.

Internal training and courses

During your first two years in Consulting, you will take part in our graduate program SPOT ON, which provides you with relevant courses, mentoring, and experience sharing with other graduates in Consulting.

Through a combination of formal and on-the-job training, you’ll learn professional and soft skills, and core project management skills. As you progress through the programme, you will take on more responsibilities and obtain experience across different teams, broadening your sector understanding and increasing your professional network.
