Chu Jenn Weng helps the semiconductor industry see differently with advanced X-ray and optical inspection.

Chu Jenn Weng, President and CEO of ViTrox Corporation Berhad, wanted to build a purpose-driven technology company that would provide lucrative, high-value-add jobs in Malaysia. He achieved his ambitions when he cofounded ViTrox in 2000 in a university apartment. The innovative company designs and manufactures automated equipment to perform visual quality inspections for the semiconductor and electronics packaging industries.

In 2004, ViTrox launched its first 3D vision inspection system for semiconductor components. Over the past 22 years, its products have been installed at more than 600 sites, making ViTrox one of the world’s leading vision inspection solution providers. During that time, the company grew from three employees to more than 900 with a presence in 46 countries. His advanced x-ray inspection and advanced optical inspection equipment have earned the prestigious Global Technology Award consecutively for the last 10 years.

Jenn Weng and co-founders Siaw Kok Tong and Yeoh Shih Hoong share the company’s success with their employees. They offer company shares and competitive compensation and benefits while creating a harmonious work environment for all. Jenn Weng also encourages employees to give back to society through upskilling and uplifting activities such as charity events, education programs, environmental initiatives and disaster aid relief. In addition, ViTrox contributes 1% of its annual profit to support charity and education through the ViTrox Foundation.
