For Matteo Lunelli, Italy offers more than just home — it also provides way of life, a business model and a reason for being. His beverage brands have long traditions and a strong link to their regions of origin, and his other ventures are strongly committed to promoting the Italian lifestyle around the world.

Matteo is President and CEO of Ferrari Trento Winery, founded more than a century ago in Trento and now Italy’s leading producer of luxury sparkling wines. He is also the CEO of Gruppo Lunelli, an Italian beverage group that, along with Ferrari, includes Surgiva, a light and exclusive mineral water; the historic grappa Segnana; the Tenute Lunelli still wines from Trentino, Tuscany and Umbria; Bisol 1542, a renowned Prosecco Superiore; and Tassoni, an Italian leader in the production of citron soft drinks.

Matteo also serves as President of Fondazione Altagamma, which gathers leading high-end Italian companies from seven sectors to increase the competitiveness of the country’s cultural and creative industries. He is also Chairman of ECCIA, the European Cultural and Creative Industries Alliance, which represents the European luxury sector.

Community service is just as important to Matteo as his homeland. Since 2020, he has been a member of the board of the Arnaldo Pomodoro Foundation, dedicated to conserving the sculptor’s works. He is also a board member of Laureus in Italy, which aims to use sports as a powerful tool to help young people.
