EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2021 Singapore 

Dr. Zhou Lihan co-founded and serves as CEO of MiRXES, a leading RNA technology company headquartered in Singapore that is making diagnostic solutions for the early detection of diseases accessible on a global scale. Dr. Zhou oversees MiRXES group’s overall strategy and global operations in Singapore, the US, China and Japan with a team of 360 staff. 

MiRXES has successfully raised US$130m venture funding since 2016, which is among the highest raised by an Asia based genomics companies.  Under Dr. Zhou’s leadership, MIRXES was named Singapore’s Most Promising Start-up in 2016 and Singapore’s Fastest Growing Companies in 2018, 2019 and 2020.

Dr. Zhou was awarded the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2021 Singapore, the NUS Outstanding Young Alumni Award in 2021, and recognized by the MIT Technology Review as a member of the Innovators Under 35 in 2015. He was also awarded the A*STAR Scientist-Entrepreneur Award together with his co-founders in 2017. Dr. Zhou has been serving on the Board of Enterprise Singapore since April 2022.

Dr. Zhou obtained his PhD in Biochemistry from Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. He has authored and co-authored more than 25 peer-reviewed publications and holds several patent applications.
