Corné Bodenstein has been promoted to Tax Senior Manager and Rahul Kini is now Technology Risk Senior Manager. In the Assurance team, Tom Harris and Josalen Manaloto have been promoted to Senior Manager and Sophie Harris has been promoted to Manager.
These promotions demonstrate EY’s continued investment in their peoples’ professional development and career progression, while also signifying the firm’s dedication towards achieving its growth ambitions across the Channel Islands.
Corné is part of EY’s Channel Islands Corporate and Private Client teams, specialising in international offshore trust and corporate structures, as well as the taxation of High-Net-Worth individuals and corporate entities. In his new role, Corné will continue to support clients by assisting them with navigating an ever-changing regulatory environment, as well as mentoring and coaching more junior members of the tax team.
Rahul joined EY as a graduate in 2016 and has gone on to progress to Senior Manager within EY's Channel Islands Technology Risk team. He has been instrumental in the growth of EY's Technology Risk service, guiding clients through digital and IT risk challenges. Rahul is dedicated to mentoring junior team members, a passion he will continue in his new role. With a background in intelligent automation, Rahul's expertise adds a valuable dimension to our pursuit of innovation and excellence.
Tom is experienced in providing assurance services to clients across private banking, captive insurance and wealth management, including listed and private funds. He is also well-versed with local financial services industry regulations. Tom frequently leads internal training sessions on the latest standards and local regulations. In his new role he will continue to assist more junior members of EY’s team in their learning and development, as well as getting more involved in business development opportunities across the islands.
Josalen has been with EY for almost a decade, originally joining the Guernsey office on a three-month secondment from EY Philippines in 2017. Josalen has extensive experience providing audit services to both listed and unlisted clients within the wealth & asset management and insurance industries. In her new role Josalen will continue building strong relationships with clients and assist them in adapting to changes in the regulatory and financial landscape.
Sophie has a wealth of experience in providing assurance services to clients in the wealth & asset management industry, and an excellent understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), as well as UK and International accounting standards.
