He studied economics at the University of Groningen and has worked at EY since 2018. Previously worked as a consultant for a leading consultancy and for many years as a banker at a large Dutch bank.

I advise clients on the best possible financing for their plans and activities. It's important that they sit in the driver's seat themselves: they determine the company's strategy. The financing should facilitate that. The conditions must be in line with the business strategy, and flexible where necessary.”

“It's become much more complicated for customers to choose the right option from among all the alternatives. What I personally find satisfying is organizing their capital structure in the best possible way, in line with their needs. What do they need the financing for? How can we help with that? Do the conditions and costs fit the strategy? I also negotiate the best deal for them. That's satisfying and never loses its appeal.”
