Anne Mieke Holland gives tax advice to companies in acquisition projects, in particular international private equity parties and multinationals. She helps, for example, in considering the acquisition structure and the transaction documentation, guides (vendor) tax due diligence projects, and offers fiscal support after closing.
She studied fiscal law and company law at the University of Leiden and has been working at EY since 2012. Prior to this, she gained considerable international tax experience at NautuaDutilh, Loyens & Loeff and Goldman Sachs in London. In addition to her work at EY, Anne Mieke is a board member of the Dutch branch of the IFA (International Fiscal Association).
“Each project starts with listening. What are the relationships like among all the parties? What positions do they have, and how important are they? It’s only then that you can consider what could be the best advice.”
How Anne Mieke is building a better working world
“International acquisition projects are very intensive. Sometimes we’re involved in the deal until the very last minute. I like keeping an overview of all this hectic work, right down to the smallest details. It gives a real buzz when we achieve everything by the deadline, our advice genuinely adds value to the transaction, and the client is satisfied.”
