Piero Di Michele
Piero is partner with EY Italy Forensic & Integrity Services, with the role of Fraud Prevention & Compliance Italy solution leader ed EY Private Europe West Forensics leader.
Piero has about twenty years of experience as a management consultant with a deep knowledge on governance, compliance and corporate risk management.
He has been involved as engagement leader, following relevant international initiatives assessing ethics, integrity and compliance risks, defining preventive and detective control models and compliance frameworks as well as fraud risk management systems both in preventive and remedial post-incident phase. He regularly assists, as an external consultant, the boards of directors, control bodies and risk committees of listed companies in the supervision of governance, risk management and compliance systems.
He’s responsible for continuative co-sourcing and managed services project in the field of third-party integrity risk management, anti-fraud and anti-money laundering for industrial and manufacturing players. He has gained significant experience in preparing the governance system and compliance with the requirements for listing on the stock exchange (IPO readiness). Since he joined the Forensics team in 2018, he is working for the digital solution development and digital transformation of risk management, compliance and control processes.
Before joining the EY Forensics team, he worked for 15 years in the risk consulting team, with responsibility as solution leader for enterprise risk management - dynamic risk at the EMEIA level.
He graduated with honors in Business Administration from Bocconi University in Milan in 2003.
