EY Young Tax Professional of the Year
EY Young Tax Professional of the Year (YTPY) is an international competition designed to reward and foster the next generation of tax leaders.
Do you want to see the business world in global terms? Do you want to learn to work with people from around the world and learn how business is done in different cultures? Do you want to do all of this while learning new skills that are expected of tomorrow's leaders?
This is what the EY Young Tax Professional of the Year competition is all about! It offers you an opportunity to take your career further – faster – through insightful and engaging programming.
The EY YTPY competition consists of two parts – the local competition and the global competition. The winners of the local competitions go on to participate at the global level in the hopes of being named the EY Young Tax Professional of the Year.
The first round of the EY YTPY competition takes place in your local country or region where you study or work. During the first round, EY teams will challenge your technical abilities and wider commercial strengths. Do well here against some of the best minds in your country or region and you will become a local winner, representing your country or region at the EY Young Tax Professional of the Year global competition.
If you have been selected as your country or region’s winner, you go on to participate in the second round of the EY YTPY competition which is a two-phased global competition.
The first phase of the 2024 global competition will begin in December 2023, where you take part virtually in a host of practical, technical and social activities designed to make this phase an informative and fun experience for all.
Our prestigious panel of judges, which includes partners of EY member firms, tax authority representatives and senior tax VPs from large multinationals, select the top 10 finalists. If you are in the top 10, you will compete in the second phase of the global competition which is an in-person final event.
The judges will consider the presentations and performance of the top 10 finalists when selecting the winner and two runners-up of the 2024 EY Young Tax Professional of the Year competition. Will you be the 2024 winner?
